Building on the strong foundation established during the previous project period, ZAYEDESA successfully mobilised Participants across all five MotherSchools Groups through extensive community outreach and engagement with key local stakeholders. Following the training of the local Teachers and Notetakers in April, the weekly MotherSchools sessions took place from May until July, bringing Participants together for a full cycle of learning, dialogue, and reflection.

To assess the programme's impact, Entry and Exit Interviews and Questionnaires were conducted before and after the sessions. These provide both qualitative and quantitative insights, which will feed into WwB’s evaluation of project impact, measuring the changes in Participants' confidence, knowledge, and safeguarding capacity over the course of the programme.

Preparations are also well underway for the Graduation Ceremony, scheduled to take place in September. ZAYEDESA is engaging a range of potential guest speakers, while Participants, Teachers, and Notetakers are preparing personal reflections to share how MotherSchools has influenced their lives, strengthened their communities, and shaped their perspectives.

As the second round of the project in Zanzibar draws to a close, WwB and ZAYEDESA are already laying the groundwork for the third and final project round by exploring opportunities to deepen engagement across the island and further expand the MotherSchools network. This will help ensure that the relationships, skills, and momentum built through the programme continue to deliver lasting impact well beyond the project's lifetime.
