Following the successful graduation at the end of August, WwB and ZAYEDESA have been wrapping up this round of the project. Mothers from the groups have continued to meet informally, strengthening the networks formed during the sessions and reinforcing their MotherSchools learnings.
Preliminary planning has begun for the next round of the project, which is expected to kick off at the beginning of 2026. Another year of implementation with five groups across Zanzibar is ahead – stay tuned for further updates!
WwB Founder and Chair, Dr. Edit Schlaffer, was recently interviewed for the International Gender Champions podcast. Throughout the podcast, our project manager from ZAYEDESA shared some insights from the ground on the programme’s ongoing impact in Zanzibar: https://genderchampions.com/news/igc-podcast-resilience-starts-at-home-women-as-architects-of-peace
