Help Survivors of Trauma and Violence in Mosul

Thanks to your continued support, the Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights has reached over 42,000 people across Iraq and Syria in the past two years — providing trauma therapy, legal aid, education, and community healing to survivors of war, terror, and human rights violations. Compassion, care, and hope have touched the lives behind each number, thanks to your unwavering support.

One of those lives belongs to Sidel, a young Yazidi woman who joined our Youth Network for Peace and Dialogue. After surviving the violence of displacement, she now leads dialogue sessions bringing together Christians, Kurds, Yazidis, and Arabs to rebuild trust and foster coexistence. “Every time we meet, I see walls coming down—people realise they have more in common than they think,” she shared. Stories like hers remind us that healing takes many forms — therapy, justice, and community action.

In our newly published Biannual Report 2023–2024, you can explore how your donations helped us:

• Provide 8,555 survivors with direct mental health support and over 23,000 therapy sessions;

• Deliver IT and Play Bus sessions to more than 18,000 displaced children and youth;

• Support Yazidi women survivors of ISIS captivity through trauma-informed care and long-term rehabilitation;

• Train 3,900 professionals in human rights, education, and psychosocial care; and

• Plant 9,700 trees in our Healing Garden, connecting environmental and emotional recovery.
