Inquisitive eyes beyond the Spectacles and a long lasting smile makes 7 (Seven) years old Neha* distinct from others in the crowds of other children at our Model School in Sunderbans- ‘Kishalaya Sishu Siksha Niketan’. She got admitted this year (2022) only and studies at 1st Standard in our school.
Soft by nature Neha* is an attentive students in the class and gradually improving in studies.
Her father Arun* works in a private company in Kolkata city and the lone earner for a big family. They lives in two Kilometre away from the school in the Nandakumarpur village. Her mother Priya* is a home maker and struggles to manage the family expenses with meagre income they have. Though needy both of them aspires to see Neha with a bright and self – reliant future.
Priya* carries her daughter every day in a bicycle up to the school and very caring about daughter’s studies. She, herself looks after the studies at home. Both she and her husband prefers the Model School rather than any Govt. School. They believes that schooling for their daughter is just appropriate in the model school.
Good in both Bengali and English handwriting Neha* struggles for her low vision. She is now under treatment for her vision problem.
Loves to draw and dance Neha* now dreams to be Doctor when grows up.
