Our mobile humanitarian team continues to bring assistance to people living in remote and frontline communities where access to humanitarian support is limited. These are often small villages where older people, persons with disabilities, families with children and displaced people cannot easily reach distribution points. Our team travels directly to these communities and, when needed, delivers assistance to people's homes.
During one of our winter visits, the team reached three villages in the Myrivska community of Dnipropetrovsk region and delivered hygiene kits to older people with limited mobility. Similar visits also took place in frontline communities of Zaporizhzhia region, where families continue to live under the threat of shelling and often have to choose between medicine, heating, food and basic hygiene supplies.
A major humanitarian project implemented by Pomogaem together with Mercy Corps and with financial support from the Government of the United Kingdom has recently been completed after three years of work. During this period, our team conducted 134 field missions, including 56 trips focused on direct home delivery for older people and persons with disabilities. We distributed 2100 food kits, 2100 non food item kits, 10687 hygiene kits, 584 individual support kits for people with limited mobility and 600 creative kits for children.
The team also completed 3403 registrations for multipurpose cash assistance and organized 70 field visits for registration, including rapid response missions. Alongside material assistance, people received 2635 individual psychological consultations, 357 group sessions, 215 legal consultations and 1026 psychosocial support activities.
For us, humanitarian assistance is not only about delivering supplies. It is about reaching people who may otherwise remain unseen, listening to their needs and helping them feel that they are not alone. According to project feedback, 97 percent of participants said the assistance was important to them and 99 percent said it met their needs. These results confirm why last mile humanitarian support remains essential for communities affected by the war.
