Report Summury
Though the amount of funds through "maintaining a meal to keep PD medication in check" is still limited to addressing the intended objectives of the project by itself, Parkinson's support organization Ethiopia has implemented the following activities by integrating them with other similar program interventions. so that during this reporting period, the following major activities were accomplished:
1. For about 90 Parkinson's patients, various sanitation pads (soap, diapers, wipes) were distributed. Aside from providing such critical support for particularly vulnerable Parkinson's patients, the organization's health team has also provided physical and mental support.
2. Medication costs have been covered for about 200 low-income Parkinson's patients and those economically poor people living with the disease.
3. The immediate family and care givers of Parkinson's patients were attaining the capacity-building training and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage the burden of the disease, minimize the risk, and meaningfully engage with the needed information to ensure their PD families and themselves a quality of life.
4. Every capacity-building training was facilitated by the volunteer members, staff, and those professional health experts/neurologists with a very tolerable service fee
