Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing assistance to internally displaced families. A series of unfortunate events happening in the countryside made people to abandon their homes and seek places where they can live peacefully or have something to eat. This reporting period, we promoted the practice of crop diversification among farmers who have returned to their homes and starting to grow crops over again. The idea is for them to fully utilize their small plot of land in order to grow a variety of crops so that their income streams are spread over several months as opposed to only growing one crop and in the event of failure going hungry for long stetches. We are able to conduct training to 75 farmers using this technique and provide them with seeds and planting materials. We will continue to monitor the farmers in order for us to document this best practice and expand our assistance to other beneficiaries and areas.
Again, thank you very much for your generosity.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
