As part of our "1 Million Trees to Fight Climate Change in Pakistan" initiative, AWARD Pakistan proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2026 by engaging more than 100 young people in an Environment Awareness Rally and Tree Plantation Campaign.
The event aimed to inspire youth and community members to become active environmental stewards by highlighting the importance of protecting natural resources, reducing pollution, maintaining clean surroundings, and taking collective action to address climate change. During the awareness rally, participants shared key environmental messages and encouraged local communities to adopt sustainable practices for a healthier future.
To mark the occasion with meaningful action, participants also planted saplings in the community, contributing to local green spaces and supporting Pakistan's efforts to combat climate change. Each tree planted represents a step toward improving air quality, enhancing biodiversity, and creating a more sustainable environment for future generations.
The enthusiasm and commitment of the young participants underscored the power of community-led environmental action. Through initiatives like these, AWARD Pakistan continues to encourage youth leadership, promote environmental responsibility, and advance its vision of planting one million trees to build a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient Pakistan.
