Training local women saving groups in Tororo

By Henry Okumu | Project Leader

Women Increase Savings Despite Economic Challenges
Despite rising living costs and economic uncertainty, women saving groups demonstrated remarkable resilience during this reporting period. Members remained committed to regular savings contributions and continued working toward financial goals.
Many women adjusted household budgets and diversified income sources to maintain participation in the groups. Their determination reflects the value they place on collective savings and financial security.
The groups provided encouragement and accountability that helped members remain focused even during difficult circumstances. Women shared practical strategies for managing expenses and increasing income.
Several members successfully expanded businesses and improved savings balances despite economic pressures. Their achievements illustrate the effectiveness of community-based financial support systems.
The resilience displayed by these women serves as an inspiration to others in the community. We deeply appreciate GlobalGiving supporters whose partnership continues to strengthen opportunities for financial empowerment.
