Training local women saving groups in Tororo

By Henry Okumu | Project Leader

Building Confidence Through Financial Inclusion
This reporting period highlighted the transformative effect of financial inclusion on women's confidence and self-reliance. Through active participation in saving groups, women gained valuable experience managing money and making financial decisions.
Members reported feeling more empowered to contribute to household planning and economic activities. The ability to save, borrow, and invest strengthened their sense of independence and capability.
Women who once relied entirely on spouses or relatives for financial support are now generating income and contributing to family welfare. This shift has improved self-esteem and enhanced respect within households and communities.
Savings groups provided opportunities for learning, leadership, and mutual encouragement. Members celebrated achievements together and supported one another in overcoming challenges.
Financial inclusion is increasingly recognized as an important pathway to women's economic empowerment and improved household well-being.
