Women Expand Small Businesses Through Group Lending
Women entrepreneurs continued to benefit from savings group loans during this reporting period. Members invested in retail businesses, tailoring services, food vending, poultry production, and other income-generating activities.
Access to capital remains one of the greatest challenges faced by rural women. Savings groups have addressed this challenge by providing affordable loans that enable women to start and expand businesses.
Many members reported increased sales and profits after investing in their enterprises. Business growth generated additional household income and strengthened financial independence.
The groups also encouraged peer learning among entrepreneurs. Women shared experiences, business strategies, and lessons learned, helping one another improve performance and overcome challenges.
Several successful entrepreneurs have become mentors to newer members, providing guidance and motivation. This culture of collaboration strengthens the overall impact of the savings groups.
The increased income generated through business activities has enabled women to improve housing conditions, purchase household assets, and support family needs.
We are grateful to GlobalGiving supporters whose generosity continues to provide opportunities for women entrepreneurs to achieve economic empowerment.
