Children in Ukraine are facing a crisis that goes beyond conflict. In the frontline-adjacent cities of Dnipro and Mykolaiv, many young lives have been upended by war, displacement, trauma, and prolonged disruption to education. Thousands of children are falling behind in school and struggling emotionally as a result of what they have experienced and continue to endure. This project will provide comprehensive educational and psychosocial support to 2,540 children aged 5 to 17 over a 12-month.
Millions of Ukrainian children continue to endure the devastating effects of war. As of April 2024, 3.4 million people have been internally displaced, with more than 26% being children (IOM). Simultaneously, 5.3 million children face barriers to education, and 3.6 million have been directly impacted by school closures (UNICEF).

This project builds a foundation for lasting emotional resilience and well-being among Ukrainian children and families. Expected outcomes: - Enhanced capacity for learning, emotional development, and social integration in children - Empowered caregivers with tools to support their children and manage stress effectively - Strengthened, trauma-informed communities that promote healing and collective well-being - Reduced intergenerational trauma through early, systemic family-based interventions
