TPO Operation Unchain project
This mentally ill patient was put in the cage for 20 years by his family in Battambang province. In this year, under 'operation unchain project' tpo's team has selected him for providing treatment. In the meeting with him and his family, the patient's mother said "son, your life cannot be compared to the life of our neighbors' pig because its cage was covered by mosquitos net, while your cage has no mosquito net to cover". This statement shock out our TPO therapists and then we help to provide some budget to the to buy the net to cover his cage. Now he can sleep better and our TPO team is keeping follow up treatment to help him to be recovered and be unchained soon.
His mother was also a former psychotic patient. So the patient grandmother used to care both patient and patient's mother (younger woman in this photo who was also patient). Now she is physically and mentally relieved because the patient's mother is recovered and is able to do most of the work for her after received treatment from TPO as well.
Thanks you very much to all generous donors and individuals for all of your support to bring mental health care to Cambodian.
