Melipona Beecheii Conservation

Thank you for continuing to support our work to protect Melipona beecheii, the sacred stingless bee of the Maya people.

Over the past months, our team has been working intensively to secure the long-term future of this project. A significant part of our efforts has focused on preparing and submitting grant applications to international foundations and funding programmes that could help us expand conservation activities and support Maya communities in protecting this unique species.

While we remain optimistic, securing grant funding takes time, and at the moment we are facing a shortage of financial resources needed to continue the project at the pace we had hoped.

Every donation—large or small—helps us move closer to our goal of protecting the Melipona bee and preserving the traditional ecological knowledge that has been passed down through Maya communities for generations.
