This project, led by a collaborative effort of resourceful organizations like EMTN--Emergency Medical Team Nederland, project managers, and strong local NGOs like Kotof El-Khair and JRS, is addressing the urgent need for accessible healthcare among Gaza's displaced families ravaged by injury, skin disease, malnourishment, pre-existing conditions, etc. By revitalizing and supporting four medical tent facilities, this initiative will serve over 36,000 families in critical need of medical care.
Conflict in Gaza's central governorate has left ~8,000 people, including 3,500 IDPs, with limited healthcare. Al-Amal Medical Centre faces funding shortages threatening closure, risking loss of trauma care, chronic disease management, maternal health services, and essential medicines in an active war zone with high civilian need.
It will sustain Al-Amal Medical Centre for 12 months, funding essential medicines for 13,000 consultations and retaining a trained 7-person team. Free, needs-based care will prioritize children, pregnant women, the elderly, and trauma victims, ensuring uninterrupted, life-saving services despite conflict conditions.
Lives saved through continuous care in conflict. Retains local medical capacity for emergency response. Supports eventual integration into the public health system. Stabilizes vulnerable populations by ensuring free, reliable healthcare, even during surges or crises, building resilience for recovery.
