The project "Empowering Turkmen Communities Throughout Eurasia" is now on a permanent spot at GlobalGiving, for which we are grateful for the donors who supported our project.
Although the project is currently on a passive mode as a pilot project, the total number of our Social Network population already reached 4,000, more than those of any other Turkmen media.
We have established networking with journalists, experts and academics committed to supporting and promoting democratic processes, independent media and civil society in Eurasia. This partnership will reinforce our ability to fulfill our mission.
We exchange information and provide mutual support to each other, generate information quickly and accurately, and use such information to inform and educate people of Turkmenistan and Turkmen communities about universal values and free market experiences.
We trained our U.S-based journalists to produce high-quality audio-visual materials that we will disseminate upon the project launch.
We are excited to discover the membership that would be best for us. We became a member of International Diaspora Engagement Alliance (www.diasporaalliance.org) and New America Media, the organizations we intend to cooperate with.
The team of EU-based media web developers pledged to help us further enhance our website by employing latest technology and trends in online media industry.
Some political science and economics students studying in Europe have shown interest in doing an internship with our Foundation. Our members in California have also been asked to give volunteer lectures at the colleges on Central Asian affairs.
Moscow-based Asgabat.net ranked our website (Turkmenistan-diaspora.org) as the best media start-up in Turkmen cyberspace in 2013.
We are intensively working on publicizing the project and searching for potential partners.
