Made By Survivors is growing!
Our jewelry center in Kolkata is expanding due to the generosity of Global Seva. They have provided $100,000 for Made By Survivors to rent its own space outside of the aftercare shelter. This will allow girls from many different shelters to come be trained and employed by Made By Survivors.
Our jewelry center in Jalpaiguri is currently training 30 survivors as artisan goldsmiths. This program was started in conjuction with a new shelter build that will eventually house 100 survivors. Just this week the building has been fully funded. Currently the girls are living and being taught in a rented facility.
Be on the look out for new designs and jewelry pieces as the survivors grow in their skills and take initative in creating new jewelry.
Thank you for your support of transforming lives of survivors and empowering them to design their own bright futures.
