The big picture for the development of the Mbale Elephants Rugby grounds is still being hampered by land ownership processes, but this has not curbed the enthusiasm and activity at the club.
In the last 2 months as the season has got underway Mbale Elephants have hosted Soroti, Gulu and a Wazee team from Kampala, gaining significant local support along the way. They have a very active facebook group that has photos, regular chat and notification of coming fixtures - see the link below.
Team Manager Apollo Mukwhana has a real buzz building and is a strong supporter of the youth development programme in Mbale.
With the prospect of land ownership taking some time to resolve, TRT and our local partners have come up with an interim container based solution to the clubhouse challenge - see attached pictures.
There is still lots of help that is required in many areas. Please keep the support coming!
