Small steps that fill us with pride!

There are simple moments that end up reminding us why this program exists.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to accompany some of the youngest students in the Education Program during various activities and important milestones in their school year. And while these may seem like everyday scenes, to us they represent something much greater: confidence, enthusiasm, and the desire to keep learning.

One such moment occurred recently while we were picking up some office supplies at a local bookstore. There, we unexpectedly ran into a third-grade student using her education card to buy school supplies for a model she had to turn in as part of her homework.

As she carefully selected her materials, we asked her how she was feeling about her project. With a smile and great excitement, she replied:
“Excited to make my model.”

She then told us about all the homework she had pending and the effort she was putting into her studies. Before saying goodbye, we reminded her that she can always come to the Association whenever she needs help with homework, access to a computer, or support with school-related issues.

She left the bookstore happy with her supplies in hand, and we were left reflecting on how the program’s impact often becomes evident precisely in those small, unexpected encounters.

Last month, we also accompanied one of our preschool students to various school activities that filled us with pride. A few days before Mother’s Day, he participated in an activity related to fruits and nutrition at his school, where we had the pleasure of attending as guests to congratulate him and share that special moment with him.

And on May 10, he participated again in another school activity dedicated to Mother’s Day, reminding us once more of the enthusiasm and confidence with which our students continue to thrive in their learning environments.

Seeing our students participate, express themselves, and grow with enthusiasm reminds us that educational support goes far beyond handing out school supplies or a card.

The Education Program seeks precisely that: to be present throughout the process. To support students in their daily challenges, provide tools when they need them, and remind them that they are not alone on their academic journey.

Every completed assignment, every school activity, and every small achievement represents an important step for them and also a huge source of motivation for us as an Association.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this program. Your help allows more students to continue learning, growing, and dreaming with greater peace of mind and confidence.
