ACCESSIBLE EDUCATION IS NECESSARY FOR THE FUTURE O

The start of classes is an exciting moment for the students, since they look forward to what the new school year has prepared for them. However, for some students, this excitement can be lessened by the lack of educational materials.

Some students may not have access to notebooks or pencils. In place of feeling excited about the new school year, the students can feel anxiety because they can’t participate fully in class. The lack of educational materials can affect their capacity for taking notes, completing homework, and participating in school activities.

The Cojolya Education Program deals with providing access to education for the sons and daughters of the artisans, since they deserve the opportunity of having academic success and to feel excited about their education.

That is why, thanks to your support, we can successfully carry out our delivery of education cards that will benefit the children of the artisans by supplying school supplies throughout the school year by utilizing a local bookstore that will have stationary and necessary supplies for their training. Each student will have to present a card, signed and stamped by the association, to acquire the educational books and materials that they sometimes may not be able to afford. In addition, they are granted a specific amount for extra or supplementary items, such as backpacks and or uniforms so that they are not left without the opportunity to match their peers or use a good backpack, as this is sometimes required by schools.

The kids will be excited as they return to another year of school, managing to advance one more stage in their education and have better opportunities in the future for their wellbeing. Here are a few statements from students:

Dulce (Student) - I am very grateful for everyone who collaborated and made use of this card. We were worried about how we were going to get all the school supplies, especially because some were expensive, but thanks to this card, we’ve been able to get everything we needed without having to worry about the cost and I managed to fulfill my homework.

Misael (Student) - The help will facilitate the opportunity to buy notebooks, pencils, and all the necessary materials, which will also motivate and help the students strive to advance another year.

Our education program generally has a positive impact on the family of artisans and especially the life of every student.
