After finishing the Global Giving Winter Open Challenge, GlobeMed at Tufts has raised funds to support safe births for over 17 women in Achham, Nepal at Bayalpata hospital, run by Nyaya Health. We achieved this through the generous donations from 91 different donors throughout the month of December. These funds will go directly towards ensuring that women at Bayalpata Hospital recieve prenatal care, food and clothing while at the hospital, immunizations for their babies, and free hospital care during their deliveries. We hope that this will contribute to lowering the infant and maternal mortality rates in Achham, Nepal.
Thank you to all of our generous donors for giving the gift of motherhood. To find out more about Nyaya Health's successes in maternal health in Nepal, please visit their website at www.nyayahealth.org
