Lifesaving Care for Mothers & Babies: Rural Kenya

Wow, 2023 was incredible for our MCH program! Let me tell you about it:

• HopeCore dewormed 3,391 children - safeguarding them from intestinal parasites and promoting optimal growth.
• 6,677 children were fully immunized, protecting them from preventable diseases.
• And to make sure those little ones thrive, our CHPs (Community Health Promoters) monitored 227 infants using MUAC measurement (a simple arm circumference check, a crucial tool for quickly identifying malnourished or growth-stunted children), catching any potential growth issues early on.

And guess what? We administered 4128 doses of Vitamin A, which is a shield against infections and blindness. Thus, you’ve helped build stronger immune systems, sharper vision, and a brighter future for each of them. You also helped 410 mothers embark on the journey of motherhood with antenatal care - nurturing healthier pregnancies and safe deliveries. But the magic doesn't end there – our Office Clinic educated 386 caregivers on children's nutrition practices and 7975 parents were educated during the village-based maternal-child health clinics.
