A few days ago we had visitors comming over!
Our Friends Paige (form GlobalGiving), Milena and Nancy (from our sponsors Ford & Volkswagen) decided to spend an entire weekend at our Osa Center. We had an amazing time visiting their nurseries at Playa Conte and Playa Colibrí (Costarican South Pacific)
The girls form ASOPEZ, Nirlady and Alice, and Ebenezer (Neotrópica´s biologist) teach them how to pick the mangove seeds and also how to distinguish them, we walk throughout the beach and we show them a little bit of what we do in the OSA area (at leat with the mangoves program).
We love visitors, specially if they are helping us to improve our work, thanks to GlobalGiving we are able to recieve your donations and thanks to Ford and Volkswagen we have 2 nurseries to take care and grow healthy mangrove seeds until they´re ready to be planted. It´s very importan for us to show them how we help the comunity ang give them oportunities thank to their help.
Nancy (Public Relations): “I´m amazed with all the work they do in here, the ASOPEZ ladies, single moms united for a common purpose, team work and camaraderie are every day actitude, they are the perseverance dairy drop who glue everything together. Thanks to them everything make sense now”
Milena (Ford & Volkswagen Marketing Rep): “I was able to undesrtand the hole program, all the effors put it on it from Neotrópica, Ebenezer and the ladies form ASOPEZ, knowing that the work in such difficult conditions it´s made by womens makes them super heros. Im happy because this little part of my country is helping us to improve our brands image in so many different ways.
Paige (GlobalGiving In the Filed Rep): “I can't tell you how blown away I was by my time at Neotropica! The mangroves were unbelievably beautiful (and incredibly efficient, I learned!). I had never seen anything like it. You and your staff were so welcoming, helpful, knowledgable, and professional. Thank you!
