We oficially presented our Blue Communities Project  to local environmental authorities

Last May 22, we had the official presentation of the Blue Communities Project to the government officials of Osa Conservation Area (ACOSA, in Spanish), the local  environmental officers that manage the natural resources in the areas of work for Fundación Neotrópica and the fishermen communities.

This presentation was the first mileston of the activities planned for  the Project for 2013 and 2014. The Project aims to raise awareness of environmental issues,  related to mangroves in communities surrounding the Térraba Siérpe National Wetland (HNTS), through workshops and training in best practices and new sustainabe and productive activities

In order to  work strongly in environmental education and Mangrove Reforestation it is important for Fundación Neotrópica to have the local environmental authorities’  approval .

The activities will be developed according to the Management Plan of Térraba Sierpe National Wetland (HNTS), one of the most important wetlands in Central America’s Pacific. We will work in close coordination with ACOSA, hence the importance of having carried out this presentation to the officials.

The first steps of our project has started since may, and now, with your support, it is going to transform the reality of these communities!  Thank you!
