Dear friends,
The UK premiere of The Man Who Built Peace film was a great success. We hosted two screenings of The Man Who Built Peace in London. The first was on Tuesday 5 June at the House of Lords hosted by the Duke of Montrose. A Labour Member of the House of Lords said that he was ‘extraordinarily grateful’ for the film with its message of ‘turning inside oneself and waiting for the answer to come – and that this is available to us all.
Over 270 people attended the second London Premiere on Thursday 9 June at the Royal Geographical Society. There was music, discussion from programme leaders at Initiatives of Change, and a Q&A. Concluding the evening, Dr Imad Karam, director, said that he had made the film ‘because Buchman is too little known today, and I wanted to give him back to the world’.
Since June, screenings of the film took place in Birmingham and Thatcham, with more events planned in Oxford and Coventry (November), Sheffield and Bradford (January/February 2019), Edinburgh and Belfast (to be confirmed).
More details about these exciting developments can be found in the attached report (PDF document).
The film premiere in London was made possible by your donations earlier this year and your continuous and generous support and contributions will help us host successful film events in many UK cities in the next months.
We are looking forward to sharing with you more news soon.
Warm greetings,
The Man Who Built Peace Team
