By Sally Korkin | Executive Director, Cedar Village Foundation
This past Chanukah and Christmas, fairies descend upon Cedar Village to grant special wishes to the residents living in healthcare and the rehabilitation units of our retirement community. Each year as a part of the annual Mitzvah Day tradition, residents are surprised with a gift that they expressed as something special.
Whether it’s a cherished CD of jazz music or an electric toothbrush, each gift is meticulously sought after. It’s an amazing feeling to see the expression on these residents’ faces as they unwrap their special something.
It’s because of the generosity of donors like you that Cedar Village is able to provide these extra added acts of kindness to our residents. It is our goal to fulfill the lives of our residents while granting wishes. And for Mitzvah Day, this annual tradition is it!
