The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had some unfortunate side effects for many people living in Nigeria’s internally displaced persons (IDP) camps, chief among them hunger. In order to meet the urgent needs of our staff and the girls we serve, we’ve altered our vehicle search and lowered our funding goal to $10,000.
The good news is we’ve identified an adequate car--a Toyota Sienna--and we’ve already raised enough to cover the entire cost! We will be making the purchase as soon as possible so that when the lockdown in Nigeria is lifted, our staff can not only resume programming at our Girl Empowerment Centers, but provide emergency food assistance as well.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyday life for all of us, and we pray that you remain safe and healthy. Thank you so much for your generosity amid this ongoing global health crisis. You make change happen!
