Make the Ageless Wisdom of Tibet Available to All

The 54 talented members of our team, working remotely in 18 countries around the world, have made great progress on our internet project these last three months. We’ve been busy continuing the process of migrating the rest of our material from the old Berzin Archives website structure and format to the new Study Buddhism ones. As more and more articles get published in the multimedia, content-rich style of the new site, our enthusiasm grows as we see the site slowly blossom into its full beautiful state.

Let me share with you some of our recent accomplishments, so you can join us in our enthusiasm. We have:

• Completed the process of migrating, re-editing, reformatted and published in the new structure and format the remaining English articles from the old structure and format of the archive section and, for search engine purposes, redirected the old urls to the new urls
• Published 120 new English articles, including both newly written ones and newly edited audio transcripts, bringing the total of English articles in the new structure and format to 1270
• Published 100 newly translated German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian articles
• Migrated the remaining 1290 German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian articles into the new website structure and started re-editing, reformatting and publishing them, and redirecting their urls
• Had translated 202 articles in our remaining 15 language sections
• Edited and published on YouTube 13 new video interview clips
• Prepared the English subtitles for 28 new video interview clips     
• Had translated 527 subtitle files in our 20 non-English languages for our 74 English subtitled interview and educational video clips
• As part of our educational video series, written and videoed an 8-part course on the History of Buddhism on the Indian Subcontinent, a 4-part course on the History of Buddhism in Southeast Asia and a one-part survey of History of Buddhism in Asia
• Constructed the French, Italian, Mongolian, Polish, Turkish and Vietnamese sections and uploaded and formatted the interface for them
• Added a “Switch Languages” function that indicates in each article the other language versions available
• Upgraded the Content Management System
• Continued to add illustrations, graphics and charts to many of our articles
• Added 5 new Tibetan translators, 2 new French translators and 1 new Japanese translator to our team.

Lots more exciting developments lie ahead in the next months. With your continuing support, we will accomplish our aim of Making the Wisdom of Tibet Available to All.
