By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project providing latrines and water to very poor families here. Even befor the typhoon struck here, so many poor families have no toilets or if they have, their toilets are the unsanitary type and is a magnet for diseases in the community. The support for survivors is dwindling as the typhoon is very far from their minds and is now being replaced by other disasters. With this situation we continue to provide low-cost sanitation to very poor residents and using locally available resources like bamboo and wooden posts. In so doing, they have access to proper sanitation with very little outside support. With this strategy, we were able to install a total of 13 latrines this reporting period.
Hoping for continuing support from you.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
