We made it!
Thanks to your steadfast support over more than a year, we reached our goal of building a field in Recife! You supported us because you believe in empowering youth and their communities through this game, and in the end we made it happen together.
We chose the community of Varzea Fria in São Lourenço because their children needed a safe place to play. They embraced our methodology - communities plan and undertake projects themselves while love.futbol provides materials and guidance. But most of all they demonstrated a passion for improving their lot in life, giving their kids greater opportunity and a belief in the transformative power of sport. Community leaders rallied support and volunteers put in the hard work. Now they have a safe place to play in the center of their tow that serves as a continual reminder of their resilience and perseverance.
