By Riene L. Tagupa | Project Leader
Our dear GlobalGiving donors and partners, we would like to inform you that CJFI hired professional staff to undertake and sustain our long term relief initiatives for victims of super typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban City and Province of Leyte in the Philippines. The Team is composed of a Program Manager, Project Officer and a Social Worker
Effective January of 2015, CJFI formally and officially expanded its programs and services to consider the Community-Based (ComBased) as part of its core programs. This program aims to empower disadvantaged children, families and communities by providing education support, health services, psychosocial interventions, value formation, capacity building, advocacy awareness and emergency assistance to survivors of calamities observing child protection mechanisms and systems in the communities.
If you could remember that CJFI was one of local NGOs in the Philippines that quickly responded to typhoon victims through the support of GlobalGiving. This project that you’re supporting is CJFI’s long term initiatives for victims of typhoon Haiyan. The initiatives fall under the Community-Based Program of CJFI. It’s our way of continually supporting the victims to support the Local Government Units’ (LGUs) efforts to respond the needs of the victims as most of them have been facing tight financial constraints.
We continue to lean on to your support. That is why we would like to touch your hearts again to continue send your donation to this project and tell your friends and family about this project to help us spread our advocacy hoping to involve more people like you in your communities where you are.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
