Following the societal beliefs and myths around the usage of the cups in Uganda , a sensitization workshop was first conducted .
SENSITIZATIONWORKSHOP
1 Workshop was conducted with 136 participates ,they were divided into 3 groups and their views around cups were collected, a number of concerns were identified including (making their private parts big how to insert it, ,how to reuse it when full, it calls for girls to feel themselves which is against their culture, all their fears were dealt with by a team of expert who made clear all the myths around the cups, many questions were asked and responded too with a guide from Ruby cups.
After the workshop 50 girls were provided with menstrual cups after the workshop and other were requested to waite until when we can provide. this was a great initiative however there is still more support needed to support more girls and conduct sensitization about the cups.
