Healing Minds Online: September-October Update

By Hanna Karika | Director

Dear Friend,

For Ukrainian children growing up amid war, emotional safety is no longer something taken for granted. Many struggle with anxiety, sleep difficulties, speech regressions, and behavioral changes caused by constant uncertainty.

That is why our Litokryl Online program exists — to bring qualified psychological and speech therapy support directly into children’s homes, no matter where they are.

Thanks to you, this support continued throughout September and October, reaching families who cannot attend offline sessions due to displacement, health issues, or security risks.

What We Achieved This Fall

During September and October, Litokryl Online continued providing essential psychological and speech therapy support to Ukrainian children growing up amid war.

Individual and group sessions
Children received both individual and group psychological consultations, helping them process anxiety, cope with stress, and rebuild emotional resilience. Sessions also included speech therapy support tailored to each child’s needs, focusing on communication, articulation, and confidence.

Creative and educational activities
Through interactive exercises, games, and guided activities, children learned tools for emotional regulation, social interaction, and self-expression, creating moments of relief and normalcy even in challenging circumstances.

Reach and participation

  • Unique beneficiaries: 41 in September, 38 in October
  • Unique attendances: 387 in September, 212 in October

These online interventions allowed children to feel seen, supported, and safe in their own homes, maintaining continuity of care when attending offline sessions was impossible.

Thank you for standing with Ukraine!
