Imagine a principal in a low income community had to open his school library on Saturdays because parents were so excited to share books with their children.
Imagine a subsidized housing community of immigrants became so excited about sharing books with young children that they created their own library in the laundry room of their building.
Imagine a city in which elected officials, business leaders, and schools come together to help families develop, practice and sustain the habit of sharing books.
Raising A Reader is proud to say that each of these moments occurred because of the work we do. We’d also like to say that we couldn't do this work without supporters like you! For those of you who received our Holiday Book Set we hope you enjoyed it.
With sincere thanks for your support and warmest wishes for the holiday season.
