Hello from the Raising A Reader team. 2012 is already off to a wonderful start, and we wanted to make sure to take a moment to say thank you for the investment you have made in Raising A Reader and the children across the country that you have helped through your generous support.
With your gift, Raising A Reader is identifying some of the country's hardest to reach children.Over the next few months, we will begin providing books, materials, parent training, and library connections through the Raising A Reader program to these at-risk children, the vast majority of which are living at or below the poverty line. Your gift is also allowing the Raising A Reader National Office team serve the needs of specific high-risk families by providing specialized parent trainings and books tailored to teen parents, Native Alaskan and Native American communities, children with disabilities and their parents, and many others.
