The Literacy Program for 500 Children in Kano State is progressing with a total fundraising goal of $25,000. To date, the project has received $1 in funding from 2 donors, leaving $24,999 (99.996%) still required to fully implement the planned eight-month intervention. There are currently 0 monthly donors, highlighting the need for additional one-time and recurring contributions to sustain the program.
The funds raised will support structured literacy classes, trained facilitators, age-appropriate reading and writing materials, continuous assessments, and individualized learning support for vulnerable children aged 6–12. As fundraising continues, the project remains focused on reaching the full 500 beneficiaries and ensuring that available resources are directed toward measurable improvements in literacy, school participation, and learning outcomes. Continued donor support will be essential to move the project from its current early fundraising stage into full implementation.
