Progress Report

Your support is not just funding a project—it is quietly transforming many poor girls’ lives, with real faces, and real futures. Really your generosity is restoring dignity, opportunity, and hope where it was once fragile.

Because of your continued generosity to the project “Improve Girls’ Education in Ethiopia,” we are seeing tangible, deeply human progress among some of the most vulnerable girls.

Your continued generosity toward the project “Improving Girls’ Education in Ethiopia” is creating real, measurable change in the lives of some of the most vulnerable girls in our communities. During this reporting period, your support enabled 18 new girls from extremely low-income families to access education and essential services. These girls received school materials, safe accommodation or transportation support, and critical female hygiene supplies—removing some of the most immediate barriers that prevent girls from staying in school and  have been able to stay in school and regain hope for their future.. Beyond these essentials, we also strengthened our mentorship program and provided basic economic support to families, ensuring that the impact is not only immediate but sustainable.

One of the girls featured in this report represents many others whose lives are quietly transforming because of you. Coming from a highly disadvantaged background, she was at risk of dropping out of school. Today, she attends classes consistently, supported by transportation subsidies, access to hygiene materials, and a daily noon-meal program. Through our reproductive health education sessions and mentorship scheme, she has gained confidence, knowledge, and a renewed sense of purpose. Her story—like those of the other 17 girls supported this period—reflects a broader impact: restored hope, dignity, and opportunity where it was once uncertain.

Since our last update, we have focused on expanding holistic support—combining education access with health awareness, psychosocial mentorship, and family-level assistance. This integrated approach is proving essential in keeping girls in school and helping them succeed. Each intervention is carefully designed not only to address immediate needs but also to break long-term cycles of poverty and gender inequality.

Because of you, these girls are not just staying in school—they are beginning to believe in their futures. As we look ahead, the need remains significant, but so does the opportunity to expand this impact. With your continued partnership, we can reach even more girls who are still waiting for a chance to learn, grow, and lead. Thank you for making this possible.

Please note: All pictured women, girls, and children in this report are the actual primary beneficiaries of MHO’s intervention. They directly represent the lives that have been supported and transformed through this program—and through your continued generosity.

As we move forward, the need remains urgent, but so does the opportunity to expand this life-changing impact. With your continued support, we can reach even more girls who are still waiting for a chance to learn, thrive, and lead. Thank you for making this possible.
