Fatima never imagined that a box of food could make her daughters cry with happiness.
At 39, she is the sole provider for a household of five: her two daughters, aged 8 and 10, and her elderly parents, who offer what comfort they can but depend on her. Since separating from her husband, Fatima has built what livelihood she can selling second-hand clothes, bringing in an income that rarely reaches 1,000 shekels a month. There is no health insurance, no institutional support, no safety net of any kind. Each morning begins with the same quiet calculations of what do we have, and will it be enough?
Often, the answer is no.
The economic crisis bearing down on Palestinian families has only deepened the pressure. Fatima carries what she calls “the silent fear of tomorrow,” the worry that she will open the kitchen cabinet and have nothing to show her children. Her eldest daughter, ten years old, had a wish to someday see their refrigerator full.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, that day came.
When Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) delivered a food package to Fatima’s family, the relief was immediate and profound. Essential needs were met. The daily mental weight that Fatima carries became lighter. And in her own words, with deep emotion, she said simply, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You brought joy to my daughters.”
One package did not end the hardship this family faces. But it restored something that poverty quietly erodes, dignity. It gave a mother and her children a moment of safety, of fullness, of hope.
That moment exists because of you.
Your continued support of TYO makes it possible to reach families like Fatima’s, in the places where the need is greatest and the margin for survival is thinnest. In northern Palestine, where displacement, economic collapse, and daily uncertainty have become the backdrop of ordinary life, your contribution has a direct impact. It fills refrigerators. It quiets fear. It tells a mother that she is not alone.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership in this work as we continue standing with the families who need it most.
