Every donation and Gift Brings Hope to Displaced Families in Ethiopia
During this reporting period, Meseret Humanitarian Organization (MHO) gratefully received a generous donation of US$103 through GlobalGiving. Although modest in size, this contribution was combined with MHO's own resources and community support to provide holistic, life-saving assistance to some of the most vulnerable internally displaced women and children in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. The ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis continue to leave families without adequate food, shelter, clean water, sanitation, and basic healthcare. Thanks to this timely support, MHO was able to reach more than 20 displaced women and children with emergency food assistance, hygiene supplies, safe drinking water, sanitation materials, nutrition support for young children and mothers, and psychosocial care. These integrated services helped protect health, restore dignity, and reduce the daily hardships faced by families living in overcrowded displacement sites.
One of the women supported during this reporting period is a mother of three young children who was forced to flee her home because of the conflict. After arriving at a temporary displacement site, she struggled to provide food for her children and had no access to basic hygiene supplies. Through MHO's intervention, her family received emergency food, hygiene materials, safe water, and referrals to essential health services. She expressed her gratitude, saying that the assistance restored hope during one of the most difficult moments of her life. While the needs remain overwhelming, every contribution enables MHO to continue delivering compassionate, life-saving support to families affected by conflict. We sincerely thank every GlobalGiving donor for standing with displaced women and children in Ethiopia. Your generosity continues to save lives, protect dignity, and give vulnerable families renewed hope for a safer and healthier future.
