Dear Donors
1. Current Situation
We wish to share an update on the young man whose life was severely affected by a tragic quarry accident. A heavy stone fell on his back, causing serious damage to his spinal cord and leaving his legs paralysed.
He previously underwent surgery at Mulago National Referral Hospital, where metal implants were inserted to support his injured spine. However, his condition has continued to deteriorate, and the anticipated further surgery has not yet been carried out.
2. His Condition Has Worsened
We are increasingly worried about his health because his condition has become more complicated. The affected area of his back has started showing signs of tissue deterioration and decay, causing him considerable pain, fear and emotional distress.
His legs remain paralysed, and he continues to live with the uncertainty of whether he will ever regain his ability to walk. His deteriorating condition has deeply worried his family, caregivers and everyone following his situation.
It is heartbreaking to witness a young man who once had hopes and dreams now struggling with such a difficult situation. His family is living with constant anxiety because they fear losing him if he does not receive the medical attention he urgently needs.
3. Our Concern and Appeal
As a community, we are deeply concerned that further delays in treatment may expose him to even greater complications. We urgently need support to help him access specialist medical assessment, the recommended spinal surgery and appropriate follow-up care.
Our fundraising target remains US$19,650, which will help meet the costs associated with his treatment and surgery.
4. Our Appeal to Well-Wishers
We appeal to our generous donors, friends and well-wishers not to abandon this young man during this difficult moment. His situation is becoming increasingly worrying, and every contribution brings us closer to giving him another opportunity for treatment and a better future.
We remain hopeful that, through your kindness, prayers and financial support, we can help save his life and restore hope to his family.
Every donation matters. Together, we can give him hope when he needs it most.
