LIFE-SAVING SPINAL SURGERY FOR A PATIENT IN NEED

By Kajubi Jimmy | Project Leader

Today, we continued to follow the condition of the beneficiary who is in urgent need of spinal surgery. His condition remains very concerning. The wound and affected area on his back have continued to deteriorate, with signs of tissue decay that are causing him increasing worry about his life.

His legs also continue to remain paralyzed, making it extremely difficult for him to move or carry out normal daily activities independently. The ongoing deterioration has placed a heavy emotional burden on him, and he is increasingly worried about what may happen if he does not receive the medical care he urgently needs.

Current Needs

The beneficiary needs continued medical attention and the recommended spinal treatment as soon as possible. The family and those supporting him remain hopeful that the necessary treatment can be secured before his condition becomes even more serious.

The project continues to seek support toward the cost of the required surgery and related medical care.

Emotional Impact

Today’s situation was particularly difficult because of the uncertainty surrounding his health. Seeing his condition deteriorate while he remains unable to use his legs has increased his fear and anxiety about his future.

Despite these challenges, we continue to encourage him and remain committed to seeking the medical assistance he needs.

Next Steps

Karitas Relief Mission will continue following his condition, communicating with the medical team, and mobilizing support for the required treatment. We hope that, with timely assistance, he can receive the medical care necessary to address the deterioration and give him a chance of recovery.

Conclusion

The situation remains urgent. The continued deterioration of his back and paralysis of his legs demonstrate the importance of timely medical intervention. We are grateful to everyone who continues to support this life-saving effort and help us give hope to someone facing such a difficult situation.
