Right now, in your neighborhood, there’s an older person struggling without enough support and enough food to eat. We know, because at-risk seniors live in every city and every town.
Jeanne is one of these seniors, and thanks to LIFE ElderCare Meals on Wheels she - and thousands like her - are now healthier, and yes, happier. LIFE Eldercare has been doing this good work for over 40 years, thanks to people like you who decided to do good by simply feeding a senior with Meals on Wheels.
When we met Jeanne 3 years ago, she had just been released from the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Living alone, with limited mobility and no nearby family to assist, her doctors worried how she would manage on her own. If she didn’t eat healthier, she would likely end up back in the hospital. And like many seniors living on a fixed income, often times there wasn’t much money left to buy good food, especially since she now needed even more medications.
Fortunately for Jeanne, Meals on Wheels came to the rescue, bringing her nutritious and tasty food, along with a volunteer’s daily visit to make sure she’s doing fine.
Because of LIFE ElderCare's Meals on Wheels, Jeanne no longer worries about buying or eating nutritious meals. This service is a lifesaver.
Since the day we opened our doors we have not turned away a single eligible senior. By supporting our small, rather remarkable organization, you changed someone’s fear into hope. Thank you for being a part of LIFE.
