The COVID-19 shelter-in-place gave us all a glimpse into what it's like to be homebound and isolated. During a time of extreme uncertainty, community members like you stepped up to donate time, money, and supplies to make sure high-risk elders had access to healthy food and essential support while sheltering-in-place.
As life starts to normalize, seniors who are mobile and vaccinated are leaving their homes again – to go for walks, meet with family and friends, and do their own shopping. But not everyone has that option. For the many seniors who remain homebound due to frailty, illness, or mobility challenges, “sheltering-in-place” remains a reality.
With you and LIFE ElderCare there to support them, these seniors are not alone. LIFE provides essential services to keep them connected to the community and nourished in mind, body, and spirit. In addition to providing fresh Meals on Wheels to keep them healthy, we offer friendly calls / visits to relieve their isolation, health and wellness interventions to reduce their risk of injury, help connecting with other resources, and so much more.
Your generous support empowers us to assist every senior who reaches out to us for help. Together we can ensure that no senior goes hungry. THANK YOU for your kindness and concern for the well-being of the older adults in your neighborhood!
