Greetings From the Central Visayas, Philippines:
I would like to start by thanking all of you for your support through the "Giving Season". Without your support our work would be impossible to accomplish.
We have been really busy through the holiday season and early January. We have kicked off our monthly feeding of malnourished children in baranguy Sawang thanks to one donor who gave for this specific activity. We also were able to distribute clothing to approximately 120 children at our local school, the children and teachers were delighted. During the school break we were also able to replace the roof and some interior walls at the local elementary school as the government had no fund to help them.
On January 23rd we will finally be bringing Charlie to Davao to receive a prosthetic leg. This process has been ongoing for about four years. When we met Charlie he had a severely infected foot from a farming accident, we assisted him in getting his foot amputated to save his life. Now we can hopefully complete the final step in his recovery.
We are currently working with our partner organization, Little Children of the Philippines to put together a group of children to travel to Davao for surgeries. This process has been somewhat complicated due to procedural and personnel changes due to the pandemic, but should happen soon.
Thanks again for all your support!
