On his way to open the Library, our Librarian David stopped by some of the children's home to say good morning while they were drinking their morning porridge.
Thhis is the home of Aisha, Namono, Shenitah, Jennifer and Norah as they sit around their mother. They live in a small mud hut in Masese 2. The walls are plastered with a mix of cow dung and ash to keep the insects out and help it stand up against the rain.
Life is hard in Masese, but the children's willingness to learn and our Librarian's dedication to them, makes the whole place beautiful.
