Supporting LGBT+ community in Armenia. July Update

Pink Armenia has continued to provide free, confidential support to LGBT+ individuals across the country. Between April and June 2026, the organization delivered 55 psychological counselings, 42 social counselings and responded to more than 127 hotline calls and vital services made possible by your continued support. These figures sit alongside Pink Armenia's broader 2025 totals of 256 legal counselings, nearly 900 psychological counseling sessions, 138 instances of social worker support, and more than 532 hotline calls.

The quarter brought a full calendar of community-building events. We held a regional gathering that brought together more than 80 community members from across Armenia to share their experiences and build connections. We also ran a multi-day wellbeing camp focused on safety, pairing participants with psychologists and outside experts.

Our annual community forum brought together LGBT+ people, allies, and partners to discuss human rights and mental health, and served as the venue for releasing our annual human rights report. We hosted a gathering for newly arrived community members from several countries to help them settle into life in Armenia, and closed the quarter with our sixth annual community gathering, welcoming 21 participants for a weekend of connection and self-discovery.

Beyond direct services, our team played an active advocacy and protective role this quarter. Staff served as election observers, advocates, and lawyers during Armenia's parliamentary elections, while the organization also had to respond to a wave of disinformation and fake accounts designed to mislead the public ahead of the vote.

On the international front, a European human rights body called on Armenia's government to strengthen anti-discrimination protections, and our representatives traveled abroad to build ties with international partners and communities.

None of this is possible without donors like you. Your continued support keeps our legal, psychological, and social services running, and sustains our ability to protect the community even amid rising disinformation and political difficult situation.
