By Ishu Subba | Director, ICA Nepal
ICA Nepal volunteers have been training and following up with schools and distributing sanitary napkins (pads). During school vacation periods, our efforts were paused. Now we wait for enough Global Giving donations so that we can have a new campaign. Please donate generously to help relieve young women from continuing being victimized by this obsolete but widespread practice.
Work with us in the remote villages north from Kathmundu. We just finished building a fine community center in one village. Residents form groups to learn agriculture, sewing, and to plan what they shall do next about the illegal ancient Chaupadi practice in other villages.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
