Food Package for 4,000 Families Rohingya Refugees

Hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas in the Kutupalong Refugee Camp, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, don't have food supplies enough. According to the ACT Teams on the ground explained that food insecurity among the Rohingyas in Cox’s Bazar is already in an emergency phase.

“The Bangladeshi authority can't do much, since it is not a prosperous country. Most of the Rohingyas can only rely on assistance from countries other than Bangladesh to fulfill their food needs,” .

The ACT teams explained it’s not that the Rohingyas don’t want to strive to fulfill their own food needs, but there are just no available jobs in Cox’s Bazar, not even a casual job.

Food insecurity is one of the problems faced by the Rohingyas. Another problem that they are facing is the lack of proper housing, the Rohingyas in Camp Kutupalong live in shabby tents made of woven bamboo or tarp sheets, and much much more.

“If it rains, since there is a river near the camp, the camp often gets swept by a flood. Meanwhile, the dry season in Cox’s Bazar often turns the area barren, making it prone to wildfire. If a shelter catches fire, the fire will most likely spread to other shelters. It has happened several times,”.

Therefore, the ACT teams encouraged the Generous Friends to help the Rohingyas. Through the benefactors' kindness,  for the Rohingyas to get proper residence and enough food for their daily needs.
