Dear our respected donors across the globe,
The Rohingya refugees have been immensely grateful for the staple food and prepared meal packages that were distributed to support them during the pandemic. The life of the Rohingyas in their asylum country becomes even more difficult due to the pandemic that also affects the Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
That afternoon, hundreds of Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar were lining up neatly. Children, adults, even the elderly stood in line to receive food packages from Indonesian benefactors. To obey the health protocol, they maintained a safe distance between one another to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
The food packages were distributed in the middle of May to 150 families, or 800 Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. In addition to staple food packages, the team also distributed free meal packages to hundreds of refugees.
ACT Foundation have been distributed meal packages for 435 refugees as well. Alhamdulillah, they feel blessed for the meal packages that have supported them. The spreading pandemic of Coronavirus has worsened the Rohingyas’ life and their daily life is getting diificult,
During this pandemic, Rohingya refugees are in need of food, sanitary and health facilities. DW reported that around 15,000 Rohingya refugees are quarantined in refugee camps in Bangladesh. As of May 25, there were 29 confirmed cases of COVID-19. In response to this, a number of humanitarian organizations appealed to the international community to help Rohingya refugees with health facilities and nutritious food.
Meanwhile, We have distributed food package as well for Rohingya refugees in Sittwe, Buthidaung, Myanmar. Rohingya refugees there kindly thank you very much for all of your support.
Finally, We kindly thank you very much for your kindness and sincere help to support us. Please stay safe and healthy.
Warm regards,
Mohamad F. Amrullah
