Hello dear donators,
At first we are very sorry! To admit that we couldn’t keep in touch with you as because this year we met a lot of rainfalls here that caused road blockade due to land erosion. So we were totally cut off from internet for three months (i.e. July, August and September). You are already aware that we have to go about 95 km to avail internet facility. Here are the updates from our Alice Project Arunachal branch about the academic session 2015-16.
Branch Project is functioning smoothly with the same spirit of Alice Project methodology. Some additional education are offered like, Chakma script, basic knowledge of computer, yoga, games and sport, massage, meditation, music, art and self-awareness.

This year we have constructed the boundary fencing with iron wires and cemented polls. The school is partially safe now and it would be quite safe if the main gates are constructed strongly.

Our future needs:-
a) Continuation of girls project for higher studies at the main Project at Sarnath (Uttar Pradesh), those who have passed class V,VII and VIII from the branch project. The girls those who were benefitted in the previous years are still in need of more support for their higher studies.
b) Construction- Improvement of the school building part by part with bricks and cement. (Existing school building walls are made of bamboo splits frames).More classrooms are needed to construct. (Existing school building walls are made of bamboo splits frames. We need to improve them)
c) For self-stability:- It is extremely necessary to take step for long run or existence of the branch project school. As being agricultural area, a tractor could raise funds for the support of the school.(i.e. teacher salary). Here all the villagers are depend on farming and the demand s of the tractor is basically more.
After the school hour we do cultivation in the school compound for our basic needs forth school.
d) Increment of the teacher’s salary:- It is also necessary and required for the increment of the teacher’s salary not more but little every consecutive year. The honorarium that the staffs are receiving is not enough to run the household in this remote area.
e) Installation of Internet accessing device;- The most important thing is to install a satellite internet accessing device in our branch project for better communication with you and others too. The installation of the device can be benefitted not only the school but the villagers too in different manners. We think it is the best idea if we could buy the device and install as soon as possible. Please let us know if anything needed more.
